The East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) conducted its annual All-League Meeting on Monday night and the highest honor went to Kaitlyn Le, who was awarded the Player of the Year for her outstanding performance in the circle. The Grizzlies also received 1st Team and 2nd Team selections.

Over the years, the Player of the Year has been awarded to the one person who made the most significant impact on the league and has often gone to the most dominant pitcher, when one existed. Starting this year and going forward, there will be two Player of the Year selections — one for offense and one for defense — with the latter being awarded to Le for 2024. Le was the only player to pitch in all 13 EBAL games, and led all pitchers in Innings Pitched (84), Wins (10), Opponent On-base Percentage (.255), and Earned Run Average (1.67).

Also receiving 2024 EBAL All-League selections were Jayda Crosby (1st Team) and Amanda Dilsaver (2nd Team) for their offensive performance over the 13 EBAL games.

Starting this year and going forward, there will be 14 1st Team and 14 2nd Team selections, in addition to the offense and defense Player of the Year awards. There will no longer be Honorable Mention, capping the total number of EBAL All-League awards to 30. Crosby’s EBAL slash line metrics were .432 AVG (ranked #13), .490 OBP (#12), .704 SLUG (#13), and 1.195 OPS (#13). Dilsaver’s were .410 AVG (#16), .419 OBP (#32), .575 SLUG (#17), and .994 OPS (#19). Other player stats are presented before voting, such as Stolen Bases, Runs Scored, and RBI, which aren’t represented in the slash line, as well as other subjective factors, such as defensive impact and leadership contributions.
